Birds have flatter vision than we do,

September 3rd, 2010 No comments

Birds have flatter vision than we do, if not as Euclidean, because they don’t have the benefit of the tiny bit of 3D depth perception a predator gets by overlapping images. I’ve heard graphics programmers explain that their 3D scene was being projected onto a flat 2D screen and so it was no longer really 3D. But consider this: everything you see in this world is like that. It all gets projected onto our flat retinas. We just have really big brains. A 3D scene is constructed in our mind regardless of whether what we’re viewing is on a flat computer monitor or in that nether-world known as real life. In fact, most brains do a decent job of scene construction even with one eye closed. From 2D to 3D. Impressive!

People on the 2D side think that we humans see, work, live, and play in 2D.

It’s important to make sure

September 3rd, 2010 No comments

It’s important to make sure that your ebook looks as professional as possible.

What are the marketing benefits of writing an ebook?

Conventional marketers will tell you that you need to get the press talking about you. Free editorials give a business the opportunity to appear in a newspaper or magazine at no charge. A free ebook has the potential to have just as much impact. Once the ball starts rolling, your ebook could be distributed by recommendation without any effort. A ‘viral ebook’ has a button on it that lets readers click to automatically email the download link for the book to a friend. Click on the ‘Email a friend’ button at the top of this ebook and email a few of your friends to see how easy it is. As you can imagine, this could have an exponential marketing impact.

Any person can do this with just

September 3rd, 2010 No comments

Any person can do this with just a few safety course lessons and the desire to do so. So why not give it a try?

Bowhunting, on the other hand can be a big challenge for a woman. But with a little help from a partner or a friend, it can be very rewarding. Mom had shot over twenty deer while hunting with Dad and the stories she has to tell are all exciting. There was one thing Mom refused to do and that was gut the deer. That was always a standing agreement. I cannot remember Mom and Dad being any happier than when they were on a hunting trip. They enjoyed each other very much!

Women?s archery equipment is much like men?s. Cheap is not always good and good is not always cheap. Make sure your bow fits you properly and arrows fit your bow and draw length. Making your own arrows can also be a lot of fun. I will be explaining how to do this at a later date. I understand when trying to purchase your bowhunting apparel it can be difficult at times.

I believe that in

September 3rd, 2010 No comments

I believe that in certain instances it does act as a deterrent to crime and can save lives. I realize that some people have no respect for life, not even their own, and would commit violent acts no matter what the penalty. I also realize that some people get caught up in the heat of passion and don’t think about the consequences of their actions. There are people, however, that do care about themselves even if they don’t care about others and the only thing that stops them from commiting certain crimes is the idea that they might, if caught, be executed. They may not have a conscience, they may not care about the harm they do others, they may not believe in or care about an afterlife but, they do care about their own skin and they want to protect themselves from harm. Many of these people don’t care if they go to prison but they do want to live. Many of them while in prison would murder other prisoners or guards but don’t because they don’t want to turn their life sentence into a death sentence. If the death penalty saves even one or two innocent lives, I believe that it is worth having.

On the other hand, I am not omnipotent, I don’t know everything.

It?s called ?calling those things that be

September 3rd, 2010 No comments

It?s called ?calling those things that be not as thought they are? principle. To make a long story short (see Romans 4 in the Bible if you want to do further reading on this), a famous person called Abram wanted to be a father. But he had no sons and no prospects since his wife was old and so was he. But God had promised him a son and he knew that God didn?t lie. Still, it was tough to believe. God helped him out by re-naming him ?Abraham?, which meant ?Father of Many Nations?. For years, everytime he said his own name, he was declaring to himself that he was the Father of many nations. Lo and behold, Sarah, his wife, gave birth to a son named Isaac. And from there, nations were conceived.

Abraham is no different than you or I. He spoke what he wanted; he got what he wanted. We can speak positive things over our lives as well. Losing weight might seem like an insignificant thing compared to Abraham?s desire but in God?s eyes, we are all the same. He is faithful to do what is in His will for those He loves.

$10- per linear foot,

September 3rd, 2010 No comments

$10- per linear foot, with L and U-shaped tops being more expensive. The shape of your kitchen, and the age and squareness of the house will determine the degree of difficulty involved in fitting the counter top.

5. Pre-fabricated L-shaped tops are available, but you must have a perfectly square corner, or the top will be difficult to fit in place. And of course, U-shaped kitchens are the most difficult, given that you have two corners to match.

7. With U and L designs, it’s most often advisable to have the kitchen angles measured, and the counter top manufactured to fit your kitchen. Also, there are variances in cabinet and counter top depths (front to rear) and if you’re buying pre-fab, by the foot, you’ll want to make sure of your depth measurement, as well as the length.

But, keep in mind, even if you are traveling with people your own age, there may still be some discrepancy of what constitutes good music. Instead of fighting over the stereo, simply bring a Discman and listen to whatever you want. Yes, even Bette Midler. Road trips are fun. But, they aren’t always the most comfortable thing in the world. They get long, they grow boring, and there’s only so many times you can play rounds of travel games before you start to annoy even yourself. But, with these few tips, road tripping can be a little easier, a little more comfortable, and a little less likely to make you want to stick your head through the windshield.

Dental treatment can be expensive even if

September 3rd, 2010 No comments

Dental treatment can be expensive even if you have dental insurance. Most insurance covers basic cleaning and fillings, as well as x-rays and extractions. However, unless you have the best coverage, you may be responsible for partial payment on procedures like root canals, teeth whitening, gum surgery and cosmetic dentistry. If you don?t have insurance cost for dental care can be astronomical.

Dental treatment usually involves relatively low-cost diagnostic measures and if tooth decay or consequent diseases are diagnosed early, the treatment is less expensive. So, education on dental care and early treatment are good ways to keep the cost down. However, there are ways to lower the cost of your dental care either through your place of employment or through low-income, community dental health care programs.

In a place of employment, an employee is usually offered a few dental plan options. The plans range from basic care coverage to the best dental care coverage you can get. The employer may pay all or part of a monthly premium to the dental insurance coverage.

Dartmouth bar on market

Dartmouth bar on market

0 Comments | Herald Express; Torquay (UK), Sep 1, 2010

A POPULAR bar in the historic port of Dartmouth is up for sale with a Pounds 415,000 freehold price tag.

Westcountry Commercial Business Agents are marketing the sale of Bakers Bar, on Victoria Road.

The bar is an ‘attractive’ period mid-terraced, threestorey property within walking distance of the estuary.

The trading area has a ‘unique style’, say Westcountry, and is on the ground floor. The owner’s accommodation has a separate entrance to the right of the frontage leading to all floors.

A Westcountry spokesman said: “The property offers location, position and generous living areas. The bar is purely wet trade led which will appeal to first-time buyers as well as other licensees within the trade wishing to concentrate on this niche market.

“Dartmouth is a popular tourist attraction predominantly through its naval history, with merchants houses and cobbled streets.

“The River Dart is itself a major attraction offering a safe haven for yachts and other leisure craft which also bring valuable trade to the town.”
